Predestination

Predestination is a theory of time-travel causality; it basically states that because events have already occurred, they will stay occurred, no matter what time-travel shenanigans should try to interfere. For the most part, The Way Of The Metagamer appears to use predestination-based temporal mechanics. That said, time-travellers have successfully changed comics 42 through 45 (note the improved art relative to unchanged aspects of those comics), with minimal effect on the future, so clearly predestination is not the only possible time-travel mechanic. One can only assume that the GIGAHERTZ has an option for everything.
